With Jack Black’s awful version of Gulliver’s Travels still blotting the movie landscape, here’s another failed attempt to cash in on the famous story.
Gulliver’s Kingdom was a theme park in Japan conceived mainly as a job creation project, and funded by a bank which didn’t actually have any money.
Its neighbours added the final nails in the coffin. They included Japan’s ‘suicide forest’ and the Aum Shinrikyo doomsday cult.
